Introduction to 2016 Trip

Shirley and I have not been overseas for some time so we decided that 2016 was the year.  We were encouraged by our great friend Fay, who wanted to do a river cruise in Spain and Portugal – along the Douro river.
The initial idea was expanded to encompass the following:

• Fly to Dubai and stay one night – 3 May 2016. Chapter 1

• Fly to Barcelona (Spain) and look around for 4 days. Chapter 2

• Fly to Seville (Spain) and look around for another 4 days. Chapter 3

• Fly to Casablanca (Morocco) and join a 16 day “Highlights of Morocco” tour. 

• Fly from Marrakech (Morocco) to Madrid (Spain) and see some of Madrid, before

• Joining a “Jewels of Spain, Portugal and the Douro River” 13 day tour.

• Fly from Lisbon (Portugal) to London and meet up with three groups of people over seven days.

The entire trip has a duration of around seven weeks.
